Give Back South Africa (2006-2018)

I created Give Back in 2006. It was a free-to-use charity marketplace where people could donate services and goods and where charities and community organisations could request services and goods.

I developed the entire platform, which included

• a noticeboard
• a database for charities
• ability to message charities
• a random recommendation engine
• an automated mailing application

I envisaged a global connect between individuals for social benefit and cutting out the middle man. I would like to advise other social entrepreneurs on how they can launch something similar in their countries, as I have done in a pilot project in India. My model is simple, low-cost and extremely helpful.
However I closed the platform and initiative in February 2018.
